UNITY IN DIVERSITY

Good morning. Honorable the juries.  Honorable the audience, the teachers of Dukuhseti 2 Junior High School. and my beloved friends. Let me introduce my self. My name is Glory. I am from Grade 9, SMPN 2 Dukuhseti, Pati Regency, Central Java.

Thanks for the time that given to me. At this time, I am going to make speech entitle " Unity in Deversity"

Ladies and gentleman whom we fully respect.

Indonesia is a very big country with large area. It is located between two continents : Asia continent and Australia continent. It is also located between two oceans : Pasific ocean and Hindia Ocean. Indonesia consist of 13.667 ilands. It has for about 150.000.000 population. 

With a big mount of population and a lot of islands, Indonesia has many different cultures, different tribes, different languages, different songs, different dances, and tradisional houses.

There are many tribes  such as Java, Bali, Batak in Sumatra, Dayak in Kalimantan, Maluku, Asmat tribe in Irian Jaya. There are six relegion that are allowed by the Indonesian government: Islam, Christian, Catolic, Konghuchu, Hindu and Budha.

Javanese speak Java language, Sundanese speak Sunda language, Balinese speak Bali language,  People who live in a certain area in each tribe speak with a certain language to communicate to each other.

Central Java has gambyong dance, joglo house, most of the people speak Java language, West Java has Jaipong dance and most of the people speak Sunda language, Sumatra has lilin dance and rumah gadang and most of the people speak melayu language.

Although, we have many tribes and many languages, we have one flag red and white. We have one national language Indonesian language. We have one nation, one state, one country that is Indonesia.

Should we seperate to the others because of different tribes, should we seperate to the others because of different language, should we seperate to the others because of different song? Should we fight to each other because of different relegion, different tribes, different song, different language, different skin colour and form of hair?  I don't think so.

Ladies and gentleman whom we fully respect 

We have to put the differences away and take the similarities. We need peace, we need energy, we need mine, we need human resource to build our nation to be strong and welfare. By hard studying, by hard working, and by hard building of the nation, the Indonesian people will have enough food, enaugh drink, enough clothes and enough shelter.

Ladies and gentleman whom we fully respect. 

Indonesia government has Pancasila, UUD 1945, and Bhineka Tunggal Eka. Eventhough we are different, we have one mother land Indonesia. We have to defend our country from the enemies. Unity in Deversity. Once again I say Unity in Deversity.

A motto says that to day must be better than yesterday. Tomorrow must be better than to day. Let's build our nation for our better future.
